HOSTEL

The Hostel rooms are provided with necessary furniture. Every hostel is adequately equipped with vegetarian mess attached to it and is managed by the Mess Committee. The expenses are shared by all the boarders.

The students desirous to join the Institute hostel have to apply to the Warden in the prescribed application form. The students admitted to the Institute hostels will have to pay an Annual fee towards room rent, furniture rent, establishment charges and caution deposit as prescribed by the hostel committee from time to time ( The Caution Deposit will be refunded when the student leave the Institute) Students staying in the hostel will be responsible for the sage return of the furniture issued to them at the end of the academic year and breakages, loss, if any, will recovered from them.

The staff members are well qualified and experienced in their fields of specialization to teach, educated, and produce able doctors to serve Humanity in Urban & Rural areas in India. The staff takes keen interest not only in imparting Teaching but also in guiding supervising the progress of the students.

APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION

Application form for admission along with the prospectus can be obtained form the principal, H>M>S Unani Medical College, Tumkur either in person or by sending a self addressed envelop (10" X 5") with postal stamps of Rs.20/- along with D.D. for Rs.200/-

REGISTRATION OF APPLICATION

Application form should be submitted after furnishing all the particulars in complete manner, to The Principal, H.M.S Unani Medical College, Tumkur with the following Certificates and four Photostat copies along with Registration fee of Rs.200/-

1. Proof of Date of Birth 2. Marks Card of PUCII / 10+2 / B.Sc. or equivalent 3. Urdu known Certificate 4. Conduct Certificate

5. Physical fitness certificate 6. Migration Certificate for other than Karnataka State Student.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO THE COURSE

No person shall be eligible for admission to BUMS Degree unless.

I. He/She is a citizen of India.

II. He/She has studied in one or more Government or Government recognized educational institutions in the State of Karnataka for a minimum period of five academic years at any time prior to the date of making application. Study in pre-primary class shall not be considered for this purpose.

III. He/She has passed: a. The Pre-University examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as Optional or an equivalent examination where in he has studied Physics, Chemistry & Biology as Optional subjects in the 12th Standard or equivalent and Urdu studied up to Xth or equivalent. b. The B.Sc. degree examination of any University established by Law in India with - 1. Physics, Chemistry and Biology or 2. Chemistry, Botany and Zoology as optional subjects and 3. He /She has obtained not less than 50% if the marks in the Optional subjects in the qualifying Examination.

IV. A person who passed the B.Sc. Degree examination with Chemistry, Botany and zoology as optional subjects shall not be eligible for admission unless He/She has also the additional Physics examination of any university or Institutions.

MINIMUM AGE FOR ADMISSION

He/She has attained the age of 17 years on the 31st day of December of year in which he/she seeks admission.

GENERAL REGULATIONS OF THE COLLEGE

Strict discipline among students is the main motto of our institution. Misconduct and misbehavior cannot be excused or no apology letter will be accepted.

GENERAL BYELAWS

Since the college is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Bangalore, all the Rules & Regulations of the University have to be complied with.

FEES

1.Admission Tuition and other fees will be charged yearly as per the government directives for non-granted unani colleges.

2. In addition to yearly fees, the candidates has to pay examination fee and other enhance fees as and when required, as per direction of the University / Govt.CCIM. Fees once paid will not be refunded in any circumstances.
